In response to the mounting threat to our environment, a growing number of businesses have taken positive steps to make our planet a better place to live. The Homasote Company is proud to be in the vanguard of these companies that have accepted this challenge - and proud also of the fact that its efforts started long before the environmental movement began.

While many companies, for example, have just begun to talk about "resource recovery", Homasote actually has been doing something about it for close to a century! It's chief product, Homasote board, consists entirely of fibers recycled from discarded wastepaper - a manufacturing process that dates back to 1909.
